The recipient will receive a certificate from the National ESP office.
- Undergraduate Scholarship
Beginning in 2018, thanks to a successful fundraising effort, the Extension Retirees scholarship will be a part of the UK College of Agriculture, Food and Environment Current and Transfer Student Scholarship Program. Current students and those transferring in are able to apply for all college scholarships by completing one online application. College employees will screen applicants and sort them based on individual scholarship criteria. A committee of ESP retirees will choose the winning application from the group of applications selected by college employees. The ESP Retirees Scholarship will be awarded based on the following criteria:
1. Currently are enrolled in the College of Agriculture, Food and Environment (including Human Environmental Sciences and Biosystems and Agricultural Engineering)
2. Are residents of Kentucky
3. Are dependents of Cooperative Extension supporting families (employee families and volunteer families)
A link to the application and further information is available at the college website http://students.ca.uky.edu/scholarships. The application period is Feb. 1 through April 1. The student selected to receive the 2023 scholarship will be recognized at the ESP 2024 March Annual meeting.
